The Sleep Service
The Sleep Service provides assessment and treatment services for people suffering from insomnia, problematic snoring, sleep apnoea and body clock problems.
Clinics can be run on-site by arrangement.
We take referrals from health and safety practitioners, medical practitioners and specialists. You can also use this form to refer yourself.
What happens at an appointment?
The initial appointment is an interview to assess the nature of your sleep problem and discussed treatment options. This appointment is with Fiona Johnston. Follow up appointments are with Fiona or a general medical pratitioner with post graduate training in sleep medicine.
Is there an overnight assessment?
Advanced monitoring technology is used to measure oxygen saturation and pulse. The results and treatment recommendations are dicussed with the individual and relivent medical practitioner.
Who will I see?
Fiona Johnston trained as an occupational therapist in Britain and has worked with people who have sleep problems in New Zealand since 1995. Her book Getting A Good Night’s Sleep has been published internationally and she regularly speaks at conferences and workplaces about sleep, fatigue, shiftwork and rostering.

The Sleep Service offers a range of treatment options for a variety of sleep disorders and has referral access to additional specialised treatment services where required.
Where is the service based?
On-site industrial service across New Zealand, individual patients can see Fiona Johnston by arrangement.
